In this role, you will assist with complex cardiovascular procedures, collaborate with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams, and provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Surgical Services The CVOR Registered Nurse will care for, plan, coordinate, supervise and provide for clients throughout their life span. Under general supervision, they deliver care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The CVOR Registered Nurse will ensure proper preparation of patients for surgical procedures in collaboration with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
The CVOR Registered Nurse will:
Appropriately assess basic physical, psychological and social needs of patients and their families. Effectively plan patient care and consistently implement the patient's plan of care. Accurately evaluate patient's health status in relation to outcomes of nursing interventions/medical therapies. Provide patient/family education appropriately. Strictly adhere to infection control policies including body substance isolation and blood born pathogen precautions. Actively participate in Quality Improvement program. Perform unit specific duties according to established unit-based competencies. Complete documentation according to policy. Effectively set goals and priorities for provision of care to a group of patients according to acuity. Ensure patient safety while handling, transporting and providing medications to patients; protects patients from various hazards, falls, disease exposure, etc. Demonstrate ability to perform functions accurately and efficiently with computer software applications appropriate to position. Other duties as assigned including floating among various clinical services, as directed/needed
Job Requirements:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable. State of Wisconsin nursing licensure, compact license or temporary permit required. (If a compact license, application for a State of Wisconsin nursing license must be initiated in no more than 30 days from start date). Must be CPR certified within 3 months of hire. ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire. Experience in Surgical Services/CVOR preferred. Apply today to join our team!
