Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Multi Speciality Ambulatory Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background along with critical thinking and willingness to learn. This role requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories and current health status. Explain procedures, ensuring informed consent, and addressing concerns. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond promptly to acute pain management needs. Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Provide postoperative/postprocedure insturctions regarding wound care, medications and follow-up. Educate patients and families about recovery expectations. Maintain accurate medical records using appropriate medical terminology. Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives within the unit. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Previous experience in perioperative, surgical, postoperative, or critical care is preffered. Skills Strong clinical judgement and clinical thinking skills. Proficiency in handling sugical instruments and maintaing sterile environments. Compassionate and patient-centered approach. Pre and post experience. Operating room experience a plus. Part time does not include benefits.
