A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a structured healthcare setting.
What you will be doing:
Conduct daily RN appointments and sick-call assessments. Provide patient education regarding medical conditions, medications, treatment plans, and ongoing health needs. Coordinate and perform laboratory services and follow up on results as appropriate. Schedule and coordinate off-site medical appointments and specialty care. Complete transfer screenings and other required nursing assessments. Assist healthcare providers with patient appointments, examinations, and follow-up care. Coordinate and manage telemedicine appointments and related patient care. Implement and carry out provider orders accurately and promptly. Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions. Manage ongoing medication administration, monitoring, and medication-related patient needs. Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes or concerns to the appropriate provider. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical and facility standards. Collaborate with providers and other members of the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care. Assist with release planning, including medication, follow-up appointments, education, and coordination of ongoing healthcare needs. Perform additional nursing duties as needed to support the daily healthcare operations of the center.
What you must have:
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. Current BLS/CPR certification. Strong clinical assessment, medication management, and patient education skills. Ability to respond effectively and calmly to medical emergencies. Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple clinical priorities. Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with providers and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Experience in correctional health, community health, occupational health, behavioral health, or another fast-paced clinical environment is preferred. Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate clinical boundaries at all times.
