Minor Procedure Room Census:

Average patients/day: 5-8 Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years of IR experience for RNs and Techs Will you accept a first-time traveler:

Yes Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

Older population, known as a community hospital.

General IR:

Nephrostomy tubes, sonograms, port placements, biopsies, angiograms for legs with interventions, PE thrombectomies, embolizations, kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, paras/thoras. No chemotherapy, Neuro, Y90s, or

TIPS Required License, National Certification, Certs:
RN:
BLS, ACLS
Tech:
BLS, ARRT, WI
state license in hand at time of application Skills required:
RN and Tech:

Experience with above patient types. Preferred if comfortable charting/coding for cases, but not required.

Moderate sedation (versed/fentanyl/dilaudid, no propofol), circulate

Will float to CT to help with procedures. Will not operate CT equipment, only to help with procedures.

RN:

will float to CT to help with procedures. Will also sedate. Orientation (facility and unit) : NEO 2-3 shifts of unit orientation. Can do buddy call during this time if preferred

Scheduling:

Weekend rotation: On call On call: Yes Every 3 weeks for a week at a time Monday 1600-the following Monday 0700 45-minute response time 1 Tech, 1 RN on call Weekday call will mostly be staying late. Could get called in on the weekend more, though.
