Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN), where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in patient care across diverse medical settings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your broad skill set, including critical care, ophthalmology, long-term care, and acute pain management, in a flexible part-time capacity. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality nursing services, supporting patient assessments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Duties Perform detailed patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to evaluate health status accurately. Administer medications and injections following strict aseptic techniques while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Manage documentation meticulously using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic or Cerner to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. Provide specialized care for populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, patients with developmental disabilities, memory care residents, or hospice patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications Valid RN license with current state registration; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Experience administering injections, venipuncture (phlebotomy), specimen collection/processing, and sterile processing techniques. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; proficiency in medical documentation is essential. Critical care experience preferred—especially within Level I or Level II trauma centers—and familiarity with trauma medicine and acute pain management. Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including children, seniors, individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs. Excellent assessment skills combined with strong communication abilities to educate patients on health coaching and treatment plans. $39.00 - $42.00 per hour
