PRN Registered Nurse (RN) -
Assisted Living Timberwood Lodge Assisted Living Madison and Lake Mills, Wisconsin Pay:
$35.00-$40.00 per hour
Schedule:
PRN / Flexible Make a Meaningful Impact in a Smaller Community Timberwood Lodge is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and clinically confident PRN Registered Nurse to provide nursing oversight within our Wisconsin-licensed assisted-living communities. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who values flexibility, strong professional relationships, and the ability to make a direct impact on residents and caregivers. Key Responsibilities Complete resident nursing assessments and change-of-condition follow-up. Participate in the development and review of individualized service plans. Review physician orders, medication records, hospital discharge information, and medication changes. Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, families, and other healthcare providers. Oversee medication-management practices and documentation. Provide RN delegation, training, competency validation, and ongoing supervision for all employees authorized to pass medications/administer treatments . Review medication-administration records and address medication errors, missed documentation, or safety concerns. Educate caregivers regarding medications, resident-specific needs, infection prevention, and change-of-condition reporting. Support residents following falls, hospital visits, infections, medication changes, or other significant health events. Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation. Assist leadership with quality assurance, incident review, and regulatory compliance. No injectable medication administration is required for this position. All responsibilities must be performed within the RN's professional scope of practice, Timberwood Lodge's licensed service capabilities, applicable Wisconsin regulations, and facility policies. Qualifications Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or valid multistate nursing privilege. Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and clinical judgment skills. Ability to work independently and provide clear clinical direction to caregivers. Experience in assisted living, long-term care, memory care, geriatrics, home health, or hospice is preferred. Experience with medication oversight, caregiver training, and RN delegation is strongly preferred. Reliable transportation between assigned Timberwood Lodge locations. Why Timberwood Lodge?
