This travel role promises significant professional development, immersing you in diverse workplace practices, varied leadership styles, and exposure to innovative care approaches. Enhance your resume with valuable home health and hospice experience, working alongside dedicated professionals and managing complex cases in adult chronic disease, palliative, and end-of-life care. Schedule/Hours 13-week contract, 40 guaranteed hours per week (except orientation/holidays) Day shifts: 10 hours (8:00-18:00) Shift options: Thurs-Sun or Sat-Tues rotation No call requirements; floating may occur based on census Qualifications & Experience Active WI RN license and BLS (American Heart Association) Valid driver's license required 1-2 years of current Home Health and Hospice experience (admissions, symptom management, death visits) Recent hands-on experience with Oasis documentation Epic charting proficiency (within 12 months) Strong assessment, time management, and adaptability skills Resilient self-starters comfortable with independent field work Ability to thrive in unpredictable environments (allergies/pets/smoke) Physical stamina to drive between visits and navigate home entrances/stairs Covid-19 vaccination required unless exempt for medical or religious reasons Responsibilities Deliver 1:1 patient care for adults managing chronic illness (CHF, COPD, Diabetes, Cancer, CVA, wound care) Conduct home visits (7-7.5 per 10-hour day, 50-100 miles daily) Maintain timely, accurate documentation (OASIS/Epic) Adhere to home health, hospice, and infection prevention protocols Promote effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams Benefits & Perks Tax-advantaged stipends for housing and meals Premium compensation packages Comprehensive healthcare benefits and 401(k) Travel assistance and job security Opportunities for professional growth and meaningful connections Embrace the adventure while making a difference—advance your nursing career and explore Milwaukee's vibrant offerings. for this rewarding travel nursing opportunity!
