1 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Outpatient Ortho/Podiatry Clinic position requiring WI or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of orthopedic nursing experience. Details Work in an outpatient orthopedic and podiatry clinic setting Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM No weekend or on-call requirements indicated Requirements Active WI or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted at submission, must be obtained during compliance) BLS certification required, ACLS preferred NIHSS certification may be pending at submission but must be completed during compliance Minimum 1 year of RN experience with prior orthopedics experience required Epic charting system experience preferred Skills needed include telephone triage, dressing changes, splinting, suturing assistance, and setting up sterile procedure trays Experience with fractures, dislocations, sprains, and strains preferred Latex allergy accommodations are not available at this facility Additional Information Coordinate and administer nursing care to patients in an outpatient clinic setting using the nursing process Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs and evaluate follow-through on healthcare interventions Facilitate patient, family, and caregiver education and support diagnostic testing as ordered by physicians Administer immunizations and medications safely and in accordance with policy and procedure Perform telephone triage to determine appropriate level of care Assist with orthopedic procedures including splinting, stitches, and dressing changes First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at a lower rate Travelers may return to this facility only after a minimum 1-year separation Travel pairs are accepted A passport-style badge photo is required within 24 hours of offer acceptance Two supervisor references are required after offer acceptance
