1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN with 5+ years of experience and a Wisconsin or Compact license for a demanding cardiovascular operating room position with heavy call requirements. Details Work in the CVOR unit performing cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical cases Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM 1:1 patient ratio Heavy on-call requirements 4-5 days per week plus every other weekend and holidays Epic EMR experience preferred Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius at a reduced rate Requirements Active WI or Compact RN license (pending license accepted at submission, must be obtained during compliance) BLS and ACLS certifications required and in hand at time of consideration NIHSS certification may be pending but must be completed during compliance Minimum 5 years of CVOR experience required Prior travel experience required Epic charting system experience required Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Skills required: vascular procedures including AAA repair, carotid angioplasty, carotid artery stenting, carotid endarterectomy, EVAR, femoral popliteal bypass graft, and TEVAR Skills required: cardiovascular procedures including CABG, atrial septal defect repair, femoral cannulation, MAZE procedure, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, and
LVAD/RVAD
Skills required: thoracic procedures including lobe resection, lung resection, and thoracotomy Vein stripping and IABP and TAVR experience preferred Proficiency with blood and blood product administration, cardiac monitoring, specimen handling/labeling, and universal protocol time-out procedures SSN, DOB, and RTO required at time of consideration Additional Information Perform surgical nursing duties across ambulatory OR, general OR, hybrid OR, and trauma OR settings in addition to CVOR Candidate must not have latex allergies as the facility cannot accommodate this restriction Badge photo (passport-style) required within 24 hours of offer acceptance Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance, with one from the most recent assignment for candidates working ICU, IMCU, Med Surg, ED, or Birthing units Orientation includes facility modules averaging 3-4 hours, generally completed during orientation Travelers may return to this facility only after a minimum 1-year separation Travel pairs accepted First-time travelers considered given required travel experience is met
