2 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PreOp/Endoscopy position requiring 3+ years of experience, prior travel assignment history, and an active WI or compact RN license Details Work in the PreOp unit performing pre and post-procedure patient care Patient ratio of 1:2 Epic EMR experience preferred Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM On-call requirement for Saturday and Sunday, 6 AM to 9 PM, approximately once every two months Performs procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, EUS, EBUS, ERCP, esophageal varices treatment and banding, and sclerotherapy Utilizes equipment such as balloon dilators, bronchoscopy carts, electrosurgical units, ERBE units, forceps, lithotripters, and polyp snares Works across inpatient, outpatient endoscopy center, and portable/bedside travel case settings Requirements Active WI or compact RN license required (pending license accepted with completion during compliance) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required in hand at time of consideration NIHSS certification required, may be pending at time of consideration but must be completed during compliance Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Epic charting system experience preferred Skilled in administering, monitoring, and recovering patients from conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care Proficient in airway management, 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition, IV insertion and maintenance, and medication administration including opioid analgesics and reversal agents SSN, DOB, and RTO information required for consideration Additional Information Responsible for pre- and post-procedure patient care including specimen handling and labeling Facility cannot accommodate travelers with latex allergies Badge photo (passport-style) required within 24 hours of offer acceptance Two supervisor references required following offer acceptance Orientation includes modules averaging 3-4 hours in length Travel pairs are accepted for this position First-time travelers will not be considered; prior travel assignment experience is required Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a reduced bill rate Previous employees may return only after a minimum 1-year separation from the facility
