Job Description

This is a districtwide position. 7.5 hours/day, 7:00-3:00 or 8:00-4:00 Monday-Friday during the school year, hours flexible depending on the day. The primary responsibility for this assignment is to help care for students with medical needs throughout the district. Initial and ongoing training will be provided. The position begins August 24, 2026. Float health para is required to float to all schools (K-12) depending on student and staffing needs. Required to assist with tasks and clerical work assigned by the District Nurse. Health experience (CNA, CMA) is a plus but not required. Must be ready to begin work at the scheduled start time; reliable transportation is required. High school diploma or equivalent; up-to-date certification in CPR, Basic First Aid, and AED; medical experience preferred; training and skills related to nursing services, emergency care, medication dispensing, and infection control; good oral and written communication skills; must have strong human relations skills. Associates degree or two year post secondary preferred, or additional training may be required upon hire. Required application materials include a WECAN standard application and question set.
