A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. PT (PM/ 2 nd Shift) 24hrs/week $5,000 SIGN
ON BONUS
Maplewood is currently interviewing RNs that can contribute to a healing environment focused on the physical and emotional well-being of all our residents. At Maplewood an RN delivers direct clinical medical care, manages complex medication regimens, develops patient care plans, and supervises certified nursing assistants (CNAs) to ensure resident safety and health. Alternating weekends required.
Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment :
Perform initial and ongoing physical, mental, and cognitive evaluations, tracking changes in vital signs, skin integrity, and mobility.
Care Planning :
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, physical therapists, and social workers—to design and update personalized resident treatment plans.
Medication & Treatment :
Administer oral, injectable, and IV medications, alongside clinical procedures such as wound care and infection control.
Staff Supervision :
Direct and oversee shift activities of LPNs and CNAs, ensuring facility policies and regulatory standards are met.
Qualifications & Requirements Licensure :
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
Education :
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Certifications :
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
Skills :
Critical thinking skills, crisis management, multi-task oriented, and knowledge of long-term care regulations. Strong communication, patience, and basic computer skills for charting.
