SUPERVISOR
•NURSING to join our
WAUSAU HOSPICE HOMECARE
team! The Supervisor of Patient Care for Home Health and/or Hospice provides clinical and administrative supervision to the home health and/or hospice location(s) in addition to functioning as a Registered Nurse. The SPC is responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe and high-quality home health and/or hospice services and is an advocate for the patients under their care.
HOURS:
Full-time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every pay period, Day only Experience/Qualifications Knowledge of the principles and practices of nursing, ability to implement the nursing process, and skills in techniques of nursing care normally acquired through completion of an Associates or Bachelors' degree in nursing required. •for SPC Nursing roles 2 or more years' experience in home health and/or hospice. Minimum 2 years on the job experience necessary to gain full knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations related to discharge planning and knowledge of Health and Welfare resources and facilities. Supervisory or management experience desired. Possesses an active Wisconsin and/or Michigan RN nursing license required •for SPC Nursing roles. Required to function as a Registered Nurse as needed. Possesses working knowledge of nursing principles, ability to implement the nursing process, and skills in techniques of nursing care. Able to handle stress and adverse conditions calmly, pleasantly, and politely. Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire•All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable BLS training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. (See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training, Policy). Possesses a valid Wisconsin or Michigan driver's license required. Possesses automobile liability insurance with minimum $100,000/$300,000 coverage required, or $300,000 combined single-limit liability. Has an acceptable driving record.
