WV Caring, a nationally recognized nonprofit hospice and palliative care organization serving our communities for over 43 years, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide expert medical care, comfort, and dignity to patients facing serious or life-limiting illnesses. This is an opportunity to practice medicine with purpose — in partnership with an experienced, interdisciplinary team that truly values your voice and your heart. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive palliative and hospice medical management, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and symptom control. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers to deliver holistic, patient-centered care. Conduct home visits, inpatient visits, and telehealth assessments as appropriate. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning and clinical education. Offer guidance to staff, families, and caregivers on goals of care, comfort measures, and end-of-life decision-making. Ensure care aligns with Medicare Conditions of Participation and WV Caring's quality and ethical standards. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licensure in West Virginia. Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program. National Board Certification as a Family, Adult-Gerontology, or Acute Care NP. Hospice and/or palliative care experience strongly preferred. Compassionate communicator with excellent clinical judgment and emotional intelligence. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (regional travel required).
