1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Hospice RN for a home health position in Clarksburg, WV, requiring at least 1 year of hospice experience and an active WV or compact RN license. Details Home health/hospice care setting serving patients in their homes and nursing facilities across 7 counties (Harrison, Barbour, Upshur, Lewis, Taylor, Doddridge, and Wetzel) out of the Clarksburg, WV location Patient population includes terminally ill individuals with end-stage diagnoses such as cancer, heart disease, lung disease, and dementia Caseload of approximately 5-6 patient visits per 8-hour shift, shared between 2 RNs Schedule is Monday-Friday, day shift (8:00 AM-4:30 PM), 8-hour shifts No weekend or holiday requirements Charting is performed in Epic Requirements Active WV RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current BLS certification (AHA) Minimum 2 years of RN experience Minimum 1 year of hospice experience required Valid driver's license required Epic EMR experience preferred Additional Information Provides in-home and facility-based hospice nursing care to patients with end-stage illnesses across a 7-county service area Orientation includes Epic training and shadowing with another RN Royal blue scrubs required Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for a travel assignment Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a minimum 2-year break before reapplying Travelers may not work within the WVU Medicine system for more than a cumulative year without a 2-year break A current skills checklist (completed within the past year), copies of certifications, and a valid driver's license are required for consideration Two references are required for consideration: one supervisor reference and one peer or additional supervisor reference Work history covering the past 7 years (or from graduation, whichever is less) with no gaps greater than 30 days is required for consideration
