Description . This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care within the Medical Practice industry. As a Locum MD in Hematology Oncology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with blood-related cancers and conditions. You will collaborate with a skilled team of healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans and ensure the highest standards of patient care are met. Locations - Keyser, WV and Petersburg, WV, West Virginia Responsibilities Provide expert consultations and patient assessments in Hematology Oncology Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate care Educate patients and their families about cancer diagnosis and treatment options Maintain detailed and accurate patient records Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education Ensure compliance with medical standards and regulations Requirements MD degree from an accredited medical school Board certification in Hematology Oncology is preferred Active medical license to practice in the state Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Hematology Oncology Strong diagnostic and clinical skills Effective communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Schedule:
8-hour day shifts No call required
Setting:
Primarily outpatient, some inpatient available
Daily Volume:
15-18 patients
Patient Population:
Adults only
Case Types:
60% medical oncology and 40% hematology oncology
EMR:
Epic Must be board-certified DEA required Paid travel & expenses
