Lake Martin Family Medicine is looking to hire a full-time Receptionist.
Hours:
M-F 8a-5p
QUALIFICATIONS
1.High school graduate or equivalent. Medical office experience required. Insurance verification required. Must be able to work as a team member! Entry level position.
SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Is responsible for daily operations of the front desk, including check in, check out, filing, answering telephone, appointment scheduling for clinic, appointment scheduling for referral to another doctor or test ordered, Patient 1st referrals, BCBS referrals and medical records.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 1.
Check in of patient - pulling chart, print superbill, taking co-pays or payments on account and checking personal and insurance information and updating same in computer. Check Medicaid status online. 2. Check out of patient - enter prices on superbills, making follow-up appointments or appointments to other doctors or scheduling tests ordered. 3. Balance daily superbills against cash box and update appointment schedule for any additional patients that were not scheduled. 4. Filing of charts in numerical order after patient has been seen. Filing paperwork in chart ie. prescription copy, x-ray report, UA report. 5. Check back file room for any alphabetic chart which can be combined with numeric chart. 6. Answer telephone and take any messages by taking phone number, patient name, reason for call. Chart is to be pulled and message attached and given to clinical staff. 7. Keep waiting room tidy, update magazines. The above statements are intended to be a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job.
