Counselor / Therapist

  • Adult Outpatient Services This position will serve at our Adult Outpatient Services in Dothan, Al, Geneva, and Barbour County Monday/Wednesday 8am-2pm-Adult Outpatient Services, 3pm-9pm
  • Geneva Tuesday:
    8am-5pm
  • Adult Outpatient Services; Thursday 1pm-9pm
  • Barbour county
Responsibilities Include:
Facilitating individual, couple, family and group therapy to clients employing various therapeutic techniques Documenting and updating clinical records using an electronic health record system Coordinate with community agencies and programs for services as needed such as sober living homes, DHR, AA, various other civic and religious groups Responds to crisis situations as needed
Requirements:
Counselor (BS degree)/Therapist (MS degree) in Psychology, Social Work or related field with completion of a relevant clinical practicum Must have a good motor vehicle record and be willing to submit to MVR check Prefer substance abuse certification from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium. If not previous certified or licensed as an LPC, LICSW or LMFT, must be willing to obtain certification within 30 months of hire If in recovery, must have at least (3) years of verifiable sobriety
