Job purpose The purpose of the Certified Medical Assistant/Patient Care Associate - Urology is to provide clinical and administrative support to ensure the efficient operation. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management and communicate with accuracy, quality and timeliness. Essential Job Functions Take and record vital signs and EKG Room patients Prepare patients for examination Obtain and update patient medication Administer Injections Authorizing prescription refills as directed by physicians Assist In Vasectomy , Cystoscopy and Biopsy Procedures. Cleaning and Sterilizing Surgical Instruments. Clinical Supply inventory Collect Urine/Blood Specimens Surgical Scheduling Prior Authorizations for medications and radiology Refills, Lab Orders, Lab results PAT's in Progress Utilize EMR System, Microsoft Teams, Excel and Additional Hospital EMRs Customer Service (greet patients and engage with providers/staff/vendors) Check In/ Check Out Clerical duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
