Schedule:
Full-Time What You'll Do Responsible for managing admission staff and processing in outlining locations such as East Pavilion, Urgent Care locations. Responsible for reporting statistical data to director. Ensure that the hospital collection policy is being followed. Responsibilities Maintains effective policies/procedures to ensure they are informative, useful and adequately reflect tasks, functions and needs of the department, while assuring compliance and safety standards. Coordinates collection of data for monthly up-front collections (POS) and communications outcomes to department, and administration. Address action needs to assure that POS is being met or exceeded to assure Corp financial goals are being met on a monthly basis after collection and distribution of monthly collection outcomes. Approve staff schedules to ensure adequate levels of personnel are maintained and budget is met. Responsible for developing annual goals that include monitoring of productivity and quality. Provides leadership to staff members to include problem solving with the department, delegating of appropriate tasks, and promoting communication and interdepartmental relationships. Provide ongoing education and guidance on policy and procedures for collections (POS), collection policy, third party payer practices, and governmental collection practices for all registration areas. Requirements Experience in a hospital setting. Education and Experience Knowledge of computer applications such as MS office and Meditech. Knowledge of verification, pre-certification and medical necessity of insurance plans including but not limited to governmental agencies. Possess a thorough knowledge of legal, regulatory, ethical, clinical and managerial organizational requirements as well as principles and standards of care for hospitals and the healthcare system.
