The Intake Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing patient intake processes, ensuring that all necessary information is collected efficiently and accurately. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, familiarity with medical scheduling, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. The intake coordinator will help checking benefits/copays and deductiblesThe ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in roles such as a counseling office receptionist or front desk coordinator.
Hours are:
weekdays, Monday (12-6 ), Wednesday 11-7 Friday 10-6. Hours may increase as business needs increase. Responsibilities Manage incoming patient inquiries via phone systems, email, and provide exceptional customer service. Schedule appointments effectively using the Electronic Health Record Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details. Collaborate with staff and clinicians. Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Assist in office management tasks to ensure smooth daily operations at the front desk. Provide support for patients during their intake process, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Checking Health benefits/EOB's and deductibles Experience Previous experience as a clinic receptionist or in a hospital setting is preferred. Proficiency in using phone systems and medical scheduling software is essential. Knowledge of care plans and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required for managing multiple tasks efficiently. Familiarity with office management practices will be considered an asset. Billing and Insurance benefit experience is desired.
