Position Summary We are seeking a friendly, highly organized, and patient-focused Optician & Front Desk Coordinator. As the primary face of our practice, you will drive the patient experience from the moment someone walks through the door—managing front-desk operations, scheduling, and phone communications while working as a hands-on Optician. You will guide patients through frame selection, interpret optical prescriptions, and deliver custom eyewear solutions tailored to their lifestyle. Key Responsibilities Patient Experience Focus Serve as the primary office greeter, creating a warm, welcoming environment for all incoming patients and visitors. Manage patient communications, including phone calls, text messages, and digital inquiries. Coordinate patient flow, appointment scheduling, intake forms, and insurance verification. Facilitate interoffice communication to ensure seamless coordination between the front desk, doctor, and clinic staff. Optical Coordinator Assist patients with styling and selecting frames and lens options based on doctor recommendations and personal preferences. Interpret prescriptions provided by the optometrist to recommend precise optical solutions. Take accurate facial measurements to ensure optimal lens fit. Perform custom eyewear adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs. Maintain frame inventory displays and coordinate with optical laboratories for timely order processing. Educate patients on lens treatments, contact lenses, and proper eyewear maintenance. No prior optical experience required; complete on-the-job optical training is provided.
