$25- 35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

September, 2026 This position is employed by an independently owned and operated Anderson Longevity Clinic franchise location. Employment decisions, compensation, benefits, scheduling, and other terms of employment are determined by the independent franchise owner. Position Summary Anderson Longevity Clinic is a self-pay healthcare practice focused on personalized wellness, hormone optimization, preventive care, and longevity-focused services. Because patients are choosing to invest directly in their care, we place a strong emphasis on delivering an attentive, professional, efficient, and highly personalized patient experience. The Patient Services & Phlebotomy Specialist plays an important role in both the clinical and service experience of the clinic. This position is responsible for safely and professionally collecting blood specimens while creating a comfortable, welcoming, and efficient experience for every patient. In addition to phlebotomy responsibilities, this team member serves as a flexible member of the clinic staff and may provide backup support for front desk and/or patient coordination functions as needed. The ideal candidate is highly service-minded, organized, dependable, comfortable communicating with patients, and willing to assist wherever needed to support smooth clinic operations. This role may also educate patients about available non-diagnostic testing and screening options, explain approved clinic services and next steps, and support patient retention and engagement while remaining within the individual's authorized scope of practice. ResponsibilitiesPatient Experience & Service- Provide exceptional, compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered service during every patient interaction.
- Deliver a high-touch patient experience consistent with the expectations of a private-pay healthcare environment.
- Create a welcoming, polished, and professional environment and help patients feel comfortable throughout their clinic experience.
- Clearly explain the blood draw and specimen collection process and provide reassurance to patients who may be nervous or uncomfortable.
- Anticipate patient needs and proactively assist with questions, directions, scheduling needs, or other appropriate requests.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with patients, providers, team members, laboratories, and other clinic partners.
- Help maintain a positive, service-oriented clinic culture and willingly assist outside of primary responsibilities when needed.
- Recognize that every interaction contributes to patient satisfaction, retention, referrals, and the overall reputation of the clinic. Phlebotomy & Clinical Support
- Safely collect blood specimens using appropriate venipuncture techniques, equipment, and infection-control practices.
- Verify patient information and obtain appropriate consent or documentation prior to specimen collection.
- Provide appropriate post-collection care, including monitoring patient response and applying dressings or bandaging as needed.
- Accurately label, document, register, process, and store specimens according to laboratory requirements and temperature-control protocols.
- Prepare, package, and ship specimens to approved testing laboratories in a timely and compliant manner.
- Maintain accurate specimen logs and track samples through completion of testing to support timely receipt of results.
- Promptly and accurately update appropriate information within the clinic's approved EMR and other designated systems.
- Properly operate, inspect, clean, and maintain equipment used for venipuncture and specimen collection.
- Maintain appropriate inventory of phlebotomy and specimen collection supplies and notify clinic leadership of anticipated supply needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary clinical environment in accordance with OSHA requirements, infection-control protocols, and clinic policies.
- Respond to patient questions regarding specimen collection procedures and provide approved educational resources when appropriate. Patient Education & Clinic Services
- Confidently educate patients about available non-diagnostic laboratory testing, blood screening, wellness testing, and other approved clinic services.
- Clearly communicate the purpose, general process, pricing when appropriate, and next steps associated with available services.
- Help patients understand the value of continued care, follow-up testing, and recommended clinic processes without providing medical advice outside the individual's scope of practice.
- Refrain from diagnosing conditions, interpreting laboratory results, or providing medical recommendations outside the individual's authorized scope of practice.
- Support clinic growth and patient retention by appropriately communicating available services and helping patients navigate their next steps.
- Maintain an educational and service-oriented approach rather than a high-pressure sales approach. Front Desk & Patient Coordination Support As needed, serve as a backup to the receptionist or patient services team by assisting with duties such as:
- Greeting and checking patients in and out of the clinic.
- Answering incoming phone calls and appropriately routing patient questions or requests.
- Scheduling, rescheduling, and confirming patient appointments.
- Assisting with appointment reminders and patient follow-up.
- Collecting self-pay payments and accurately documenting transactions using approved clinic systems.
- Helping patients understand general pricing, payment expectations, and clinic policies using approved information.
- Maintaining accurate patient demographic and contact information.
- Responding to general questions regarding clinic services, appointment preparation, office policies, and approved pricing information.
- Supporting patient flow by communicating with providers and other team members regarding patient arrival and appointment status.
- Maintaining an organized, professional, and welcoming reception and patient waiting area.
- Assisting with administrative tasks, patient outreach, and other clinic operational needs as assigned. QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Current phlebotomy certification earned through an in-person, accredited training program that includes required clinical sticks.
- Previous professional phlebotomy experience.
- Maintain any additional certifications, registrations, licenses, or documentation required by applicable local, state, or federal regulations.
- Demonstrated competency in venipuncture and specimen collection.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a service-minded, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to provide a professional, welcoming, and compassionate patient experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately manage specimens, documentation, patient information, and administrative responsibilities.
- Comfortable using computers and learning electronic medical records, scheduling systems, payment platforms, and other clinic technology.
- Ability and willingness to move between phlebotomy, patient support, and front desk responsibilities based on clinic needs.
- Comfortable answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting with general administrative tasks when providing receptionist coverage.
- Comfortable educating patients about available services and testing options using approved information and within appropriate scope-of-practice boundaries.
- Dependable, organized, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative clinic team.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control requirements, and clinic policies.
- Willingness to complete all initial and ongoing required training within designated timeframes. Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification or previous medical assisting experience.
- Previous experience in a medical office, outpatient clinic, laboratory, or physician practice.
- Front desk, receptionist, patient coordinator, or medical scheduling experience.
- Experience in a self-pay, concierge medicine, wellness, hormone optimization, longevity, medical spa, aesthetics, or other high-service healthcare environment.
- Prior customer service, hospitality, retail, or other service-focused experience.
- Experience collecting payments and discussing pricing or payment expectations with patients.
- Experience with electronic medical records, online scheduling platforms, or patient communication systems.
- Experience processing, packaging, and shipping specimens to multiple laboratories.
- Familiarity with laboratory requisitions, specimen tracking, and temperature-control requirements.
- Interest in wellness, preventive health, hormone optimization, longevity, or personalized healthcare.
