Job Summary Patient Registration SpecialistUnder direction of Business Office Manager and patient registration manager, responsible for the courteous, accurate and timely registration of patients. Will promptly recognize and greet patients and visitors. Responsible for verification, precertification and obtaining coverage on all applicable procedures requiring certification, all other insurance or non-insurance categories requiring fax, telephone, or written approval. Responsible for calculation and collection of copays and deductibles.
Shifts will vary - including but not limited to nights and weekends

Experience:
One year of hospital registration experience preferred. Computer keyboard experience. Type 35 WPM. Bilingual preferred. Knowledge of all insurance including government, HMO's and PPO's. For precertification/authorization, must have Excel and Microsoft Word experience. Must be organized, and have the ability to work in a high activity busy work environment.PAY RANGE
$23.00 - $27.00PER HOURRequired Education:
