In this important role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming intake experience while providing outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a warm, friendly, and professional manner. Collect, verify, and accurately enter patient information into Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR). Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with healthcare providers to maintain an efficient workflow. Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and assist patients with insurance-related questions. Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all healthcare privacy regulations. Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, appointment reminders, scanning documents, and follow-up communications. Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure excellent patient care. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance verification processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Outstanding customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Accurate typing and data entry skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information professionally. Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required.
