Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team at Personal Touch Physical Therapy Group in Cupertino, California.
In this full-time, onsite position, you will play a crucial role in patient rehabilitation by assisting with individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility and facilitating recovery from various orthopedic injuries.

Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and adhere to patient-specific physical therapy plans developed by licensed physical therapists, ensuring each session is tailored to the individual needs and progression of each patient.
Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, closely monitoring their performance and making necessary adjustments to maintain proper technique and safety.
Assist with manual therapy techniques and the appropriate use of various rehabilitation equipment to promote effective recovery processes.
Educate patients and their caregivers on prescribed therapy exercises to foster independence and improve adherence to at-home rehabilitation strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress and reassessing treatment protocols as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental procedures and patient care strategies to align with best practices in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
Patient Population / Client FocusThe patients you will assist primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions.
Our diverse patient population ranges from young athletes needing recovery support to older adults seeking rehabilitation for age-related mobility issues.
Your role will be pivotal in helping them regain functionality and improve their quality of life.
QualificationsAn Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
A valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in California, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
A strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation practices, as evidenced by a minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, preferably WebPT, to enhance workflow efficiency.
A solid understanding of manual therapy techniques and the ability to perform them effectively in a clinical environment.
Preferred ExperienceHands-on experience with various rehabilitation modalities such as ultrasound therapy, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic exercise programming.
Background in coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient pathways and outcomes.
Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and documenting findings, adapting treatment plans responsively.
