In this vital role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure seamless delivery of home health services. Your energetic approach will help coordinate patient care plans, manage documentation efficiently, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Responsibilities Coordinate patient care schedules and communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare providers to ensure timely service delivery Manage electronic health records (EHR) and patient management software with accuracy and attention to detail Support medical administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, billing support, and maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with health regulation policies Serve as the point of contact via phone and client communication channels for inquiries, updates, and appointment confirmations Assist with insurance verification processes and understanding health insurance policies related to home health services Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and service updates using medical terminology and EMR/EHR systems Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly, maintaining professional communication, and supporting patients throughout their care journey Experience Prior experience working in a home health office setting is highly recommended Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling, billing, and record management Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes Knowledge of health regulation policies related to home health services and patient privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA compliance) Experience with patient management software or electronic health records (EHR/EHR) systems is advantageous Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to home health care environments Excellent phone communication skills combined with effective client interaction abilities Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy through typing and data entry tasks
