Job Description
Job Summary Established Ophthalmology/Optometry Practice in SW Riverside County seeks friendly, detail- oriented individual who can work well with a busy Front Office team. Experience with patients in a medical office setting is preferred. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to effectively address patient questions and concerns in a friendly and helpful manner. Duties include scheduling patient appointments, phones, checking insurance eligibility, preparing charts for patient visits, rotating through check in and check out, and using computerized electronic practice management software. Responsibilities and Duties Understanding of HMO and PPO insurance plans and ability to enter data into computerized electronic medical records system, enjoyment of busy office setting. knowledge of eye CPT billing codes preferred. Qualifications and Skills Recent college graduate or graduate from Medical Assistant/Admin program or experience working in busy medical environment is preferred. Knowledge of medical billing and insurances or Optician office experience Is helpful. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
