Business Casual Job Summary We are seeking a Pre Services Scheduling Representative to support patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and administrative activities in a hospital or medical office setting. Responsibilities Schedule patient appointments and coordinate pre-service activities. Register patients and accurately update demographic and insurance information. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives. Maintain accurate patient records and perform data entry. Utilize medical terminology and
CPT/HCPCS
codes as needed. Operate computers, phones, fax machines, scanners, and copiers. Use Microsoft Office and Outlook for daily administrative tasks. Provide professional and courteous customer service. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of hospital experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital or medical office setting, including patient registration. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of CPT and HCPCS codes. Experience with insurance verification in a healthcare setting. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and Outlook. Strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Some college coursework in Business Communication or Data Entry. Minimum 1 year of insurance verification experience in a healthcare setting.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
