Key Responsibilities As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your daily responsibilities will include: Implementing treatment plans as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring that all therapeutic interventions align with the patient's individualized care goals. Preparing therapy equipment and customizing treatment areas for optimal patient comfort and safety, including setting up modalities and therapeutic devices. Monitoring and documenting patient progress accurately through precise observations and data collection, which will be communicated regularly to the therapy team. Assisting in administrative responsibilities such as patient scheduling, intake, and follow-up, using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like WebPT to streamline processes. Patient Population / Client Focus Your role will primarily focus on outpatient orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgical procedures, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with a diverse patient population, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Your hands-on care will facilitate improvements in mobility, strength, and coordination, ultimately aiming to restore functional independence. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: An Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program. Current PTA license in the State of California. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an outpatient setting or similar healthcare environment. Proficiency in utilizing EMR systems, specifically WebPT, to ensure accurate documentation and patient tracking. Demonstrated strong manual therapy skills, comfortable in applying various techniques to aid in patient recovery. Preferred Experience While the basic qualifications are essential, candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, working with post-operative patients, or utilizing advanced therapeutic modalities will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with evidence-based practice standards in physical therapy is also highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from
USD 75,000
