The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations. Take and record vital signs as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Provide support in prosthodontics procedures, including the preparation of materials and assisting with fittings. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the dental clinic. Perform medical coding for insurance purposes when necessary. Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with infection control standards and HIPAA compliance is essential. Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous. Experience with medical documentation and coding will be considered a plus. Proficiency in using dental software systems, such as Dentrix, is desirable but not required.
