Full Job Description Job Description:
As a Intake Specialist in our rheumatology practice, you will be the critical first point of contact for patients in a medical environment. You will greet patients, facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes, prepare patient charts, and verify insurance details. This role involves managing a multi-line phone system and scheduling appointments for both new and established patients. You'll work primarily at our Englewood location (M-F 8 am-4:30 pm) and provide support to our other locations as needed. Emphasis is placed on maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and a welcoming atmosphere in every patient interaction.
Experience:
Required Experience:
A minimum of 1 year in a medical front desk role is necessary.
Medical Environment:
Prior experience in a healthcare setting is required, with familiarity in medical terminology, patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance), and handling sensitive medical documentation.
Skills:
Proven ability to efficiently manage multi-line phone systems and perform administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment, ensuring a high standard of patient service.
