One year previous experience in a medical office with knowledge of health insurance plans required.
FLUENCY IN SPANISH.
Job duties include checking patients in at the front desk, taking copays, verifying insurance eligibility, scanning in insurance cards and ID cards, and checking patients out. Also, cross train in our scheduling department to include answering phones and scheduling patient appointments, verifying insurance benefits electronically, pre-authorizing patient visits, assist with calling on referrals and getting patients scheduled, and electronically filing in patient charts. May assist with various other duties.. Excellent keyboarding skills necessary. We are looking for the kind of person that goes above and beyond what is expected. Professional dress and appearance required. Good attendance required. Our hours are Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 7:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., so your weekend starts early.
