Not specified Description About the Job Outpatient Ortho Surgery Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Opportunity MedStar Washington Hospital Center - Washington, D.C. MedStar Medical Group is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Orthopedic Surgery team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center , a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center and leading academic medical center in Washington, D.C. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative orthopedic program, working alongside a team of orthopedic surgeons, residents, and six experienced advanced practice providers in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Position Highlights Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule, roughly 7 AM to 4 PM Daytime hours with an early morning start to accommodate inpatient rounding Most time spent outpatient in the clinic Small inpatient component, including: Morning rounding on orthopedic and trauma patients Inpatient orthopedic consultations Collaborative practice within a large, experienced APP team Opportunity to work in a nationally recognized academic health system with resident physician support Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia Prior orthopedic surgery, trauma, or inpatient surgical experience strongly preferred Why MedStar Washington Hospital Center?
