Work Environment The role is set within our state-of-the-art outpatient clinic located in the scenic Cape Coral area, known for its warm Florida climate and vibrant community. The schedule is structured for Monday to Friday, consisting of 40-hour workweeks, which allows for a robust work-life balance. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, taking into account individual needs, medical histories, and treatment goals. Design and implement personalized treatment programs that may incorporate manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and modalities appropriate for orthopedics. Deliver hands-on therapy sessions to address pain and dysfunction, ensuring all interventions align with the physician's plan of care. Demonstrate exemplary customer service by fostering a welcoming and encouraging environment for all patients. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to maximize patient recovery and functional outcomes using evidence-based practices. Educate and train patients and caregivers to enhance understanding of treatment processes and home exercise programs. Track and meet established utilization goals and contribute to business development initiatives of the clinic. Patient Population / Client Focus The Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist will work primarily with a diverse patient population including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgical interventions, and chronic pain conditions. Our clinic emphasizes a holistic approach, treating not only the physical aspects but also considering psychological wellbeing as part of the recovery process. Qualifications Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution. Current and valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in Florida. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy or a related specialty. Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association. Ability to demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective patient interactions and documentation. Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and electronic health records. Preferred Experience Experience in developing and managing tailored treatment plans for a wide range of orthopedic conditions. Demonstrated experience in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team setting. Background in conducting educational workshops for patients and community members regarding physical therapy practices. Compensation and Benefits This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000.
