Baptist Health is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join our Patient Access team at Baptist ED North in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN Night shift opportunity. The Patient Access team plays a critical role in creating a positive patient experience and ensuring accurate and efficient access to care. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional with healthcare and insurance experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and supporting patients throughout the registration and access process.
Patient Access Representative II Job Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, visitors, and other healthcare team members Assist patients with the registration and patient access process while ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information Verify insurance coverage and collect required patient information and documentation Assist patients with questions related to registration, insurance, and the access-to-care process Communicate professionally and effectively with patients and internal departments Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow applicable privacy and organizational policies Utilize computer systems and patient access technology to accurately document and update patient information Support efficient patient flow and contribute to a positive patient experience
Patient Access Representative II Experience:
Customer Service Experience (required) Healthcare Experience (required) 1-2 years Insurance Experience (required) Experience in hospital registration or patient access (preferred)
