Job Description

Job Overview:
•The ideal candidate is outgoing, caring, friendly, trustworthy, and a good multi-tasker. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling administrative tasks, and supporting our medical staff. Medical office experience is very helpful but not necessary. We will train. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the medical field and has experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. •
Duties:
•Greet patients and visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to emails in a professional and courteous manner. Manage patient records and schedule appointments using our electronic medical records system. Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and updating patient information. When needed, assist Billing staff to verify all patient insurances preferably 3 days before appointments Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including the waiting room and reception desk. Provide support to the medical staff, including ordering medical supplies, and managing clinic inventory. Handle cash and credit transactions, as well as process payments and insurance claims. Handle confidential patient information and maintain HIPAA compliance. Collaborate with other front desk staff to ensure seamless coverage and efficient patient flow. Stay up-to-date with medical terminology and clinic procedures to provide accurate information to patients. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge. •
Requirements:
•High school diploma or equivalent required; medical administrative experience preferred. Proficiency in medical administrative support and medical terminology. Experience with electronic medical records systems and medical billing and coding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information. Basic knowledge of medical procedures and insurance plans. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods. Experience as a receptionist or in a similar healthcare setting is a plus. •
