Job Description

Ophthalmology Practice is looking for a front office patient representative for a fast-growing Private Practice. We are looking for the best of the best - bright, energetic, driven to be part of a great team providing front office medical reception and appointment scheduling to improve the patient healthcare experience. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing great customer service in person and over the phone by providing information, this position includes scheduling appointments, electronic filing, operating a multi- line phone system, checking-in/checking-outpatients, verifying medical insurance information as well as other tasks assigned on an as needed basis.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FRONT OFFICE
(MEDICAL ONLY).
YOU MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL
(2 locations) Experience In Ophthalmology Helpful Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g., pens, forms, and brochures Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock Check patients in & out Insurance verification and copay collection Confirming future appointments Scheduling patients Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing Skills Team Player Proven work experience as a Receptionist/Front Office Representative Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g., fax machines and printers) Professional attitude and appearance Solid written and verbal communication skills Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise Excellent organizational skills Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks Customer service attitude High school degree
