Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Front Desk Medical Office professional, where you will be the welcoming face and efficient coordinator of our busy medical practice. This vital role combines exceptional patient service, administrative expertise, and clinical support to ensure smooth daily operations. You will manage patient interactions, handle medical documentation, and support clinical staff with accuracy and professionalism. Your energetic approach will help foster a positive environment for patients and staff alike, ensuring every visit is seamless and satisfying. Our employees have been with our practice an average of 8 years. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify appointments, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks. Schedule appointments efficiently while managing cancellations and follow-ups through medical scheduling software. Collect and process medical payments and insurance claims, including Medicare and health insurance verifications, ensuring accurate medical billing and coding with
CPT ICD-10
coding standards. Maintain meticulous medical records by reviewing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA confidentiality policies. Handle phone communication with patients, providers, and insurance companies using professional phone etiquette; respond promptly to inquiries and direct calls appropriately. Support clinical staff by preparing care plans, reviewing documentation, and assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ensure compliance with health information management standards while maintaining a welcoming environment that emphasizes excellent patient service. Perform clerical duties including filing, data entry, document review, and maintaining organized medical records in accordance with office policies. Qualifications •MUST BE Bilingual in
ENGLISH/SPANISH
Proven experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment with strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical confidentiality policies. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with health information management is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical billing processes including Medicare claims processing and CPT/ICD coding requirements (ICD-10). Excellent customer service skills paired with strong phone etiquette and professional communication abilities. Bilingual skills are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations. Demonstrated clerical experience including filing, typing (10 key), Microsoft Office applications, and general office management tasks. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and data entry. Experience working in a clinic or dental office environment is desirable but not mandatory; a proactive attitude towards learning new systems is essential.
