The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, and enjoys helping patients while working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff. Healthcare or medical office experience is preferred. Ophthalmology experience is a plus but not required. Primary Responsibilities Patient Check-In/Check out Welcome patients with professionalism and courtesy. Verify demographic and insurance information. Collect and scan insurance cards, identification, and required documentation. Obtain necessary signatures and completed registration forms. Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Schedule follow-up appointments according to physician recommendations. Ensure patients are accurately checked into the electronic medical record (EMR). Telephone & Communication Answer a high volume of incoming telephone calls in a courteous and efficient manner. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Respond to patient inquiries or direct them to the appropriate team member. Document telephone encounters accurately within the EMR. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of medical front office or healthcare customer service experience preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Accurate data entry and computer skills. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
