This role is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, collecting payments, maintaining accurate patient records, and supporting the clinical team to ensure a positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors in a professional, courteous, and compassionate manner. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries promptly. Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and obtain necessary authorizations. Register new patients and update existing patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances, and process payments accurately. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred. Minimum of one year of customer service or medical office experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and EMR systems is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities. Skills Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional telephone etiquette.
