Work Environment You will work onsite at our outpatient office, which offers a collaborative and patient-centered atmosphere. The office is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and technology, enabling you to provide the highest level of care to our patients. Your role will require frequent interaction with patients and interdisciplinary team members, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough reviews of medical histories and perform screenings to assess patient needs and eligibility for therapy services. Execute patient evaluations as ordered by physicians, developing tailored treatment plans that align with the individual goals and capabilities of each patient. Implement treatment plans through direct patient care sessions, providing education to patients about their conditions and training in self-management strategies. Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants and rehabilitation aides, ensuring adherence to the treatment plans and compliance with state laws and professional standards. Maintain rigorous confidentiality regarding patient and facility information, upholding the highest ethical standards in all interactions. Engage in continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy. Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to share clinical insights and collaborate on patient care strategies. Ensure accurate billing and documentation practices are followed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the rehabilitation department. Conduct staff training sessions and provide in-service education to promote a knowledgeable therapy staff. Regularly review and comply with the policies and procedures set forth in the facility's Rehabilitation Policy and Procedure Manual. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on outpatient clients ranging in age and diverse rehabilitative needs. You will assist individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and various medical conditions, tailoring interventions to support their physical recovery and rehabilitation goals. By working closely with each patient, you will create a supportive environment that encourages progress and motivation. Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program. Current Florida State License as a Physical Therapist. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License, along with necessary auto insurance. Current CPR certification, as well as completed physical and PPD requirements. Strong organization and communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Experience Previous experience as a licensed Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting is preferred but not mandatory.
