This full-time position focuses on providing individualized, high-quality care to patients in our outpatient clinic. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in helping patients regain their strength and mobility, significantly enhancing their quality of life. Work Environment Located in beautiful Port Charlotte, Florida, our Rehabilitation Center provides a dynamic and collaborative work environment. The facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and technologies to aid in patient recovery. Our typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life experience. Key Responsibilities Assess and evaluate patients' needs through comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic imaging review. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that align with each patient's unique goals, utilizing a range of evidence-based interventions. Maintain a manageable patient load to ensure each individual receives ample time, attention, and effective care. Utilize a variety of cost-effective treatment techniques and manual therapy modalities to enhance patient mobility. Incorporate fitness and wellness programs tailored to meet the specific requirements of each patient. Educate and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, promoting adherence to treatment plans. Continuously evaluate treatment progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians and rehabilitation specialists, to facilitate comprehensive patient care. Document patient interactions and treatment results using EMR software, specifically WebPT, for accurate record-keeping and continuity of care. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Physical Therapist at Ortho Care, you will work with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on individuals recovering from orthopedic issues, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. Our clinic emphasizes a non-surgical approach, minimizing the need for invasive procedures and pharmaceuticals. Your expertise will directly impact patients' recovery journeys, helping them achieve their mobility goals and improve their quality of life. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program. Current and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida, with no sanctions or board proceedings. Strong foundational knowledge in various manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to design effective exercise programs. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for effective patient documentation. Commitment to staying current with the latest advancements and techniques in physical therapy supported by research. Preferred Experience A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is preferred, with a focus on orthopedic conditions. Demonstrated expertise in developing tailored rehabilitation programs for a variety of patient populations. Experience with sports medicine or advanced manual therapy techniques is a plus.
