Shift:
6:45 PM - 7:15 AM including every other weekend The Patient Support Technician is a dual position that includes the primary job responsibilities of a Patient Care Technician and one of the following roles:
  • Cardiac Monitor Technician, Mental Health Technician and/or Unit Secretary.
  • Works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse providing care in the clinical setting.
  • Cares for a group of assigned patients with various needs to ensure safe, high-quality care is delivered.
  • Care includes, but not limited to, providing for the patient's daily needs such as hygiene, mobility, nutrition, toileting, ensuring safety measures are in place, communication with patient and care team, documentation of care provided.
  • Additional skills as validated include urinary catheter insertion and removal, removal IV reseal, superpubic catheter care, telemetry lead placement and ostomy care/maintenance.
