Florida Urology Partners is seeking a professional, organized, and patient-focused Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy Webb Road office. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and plays a vital role in creating an exceptional patient experience. The Medical Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for managing front office operations, including patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, phone communications, registration, insurance verification support, and collection of patient payments. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, professional, dependable, and capable of multitasking while maintaining a positive and welcoming demeanor.
Requirements:
Essential Responsibilities Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner. Answer incoming phone calls promptly using proper telephone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills. Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments accurately and efficiently. Register new patients and update existing patient demographic and insurance information. Collect and verify personal, insurance, and financial information to ensure accurate patient records. Facilitate efficient patient flow by communicating patient arrivals, delays, and scheduling updates with clinical staff and providers. Respond to patient inquiries and provide accurate information regarding office procedures and appointments. Collect copayments, outstanding balances, and other patient payments while maintaining accurate financial records. Reconcile daily collections and complete end-of-day balancing procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area. Monitor and assist with front office supply inventory and office equipment needs. Protect patient privacy and maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Perform additional administrative duties as assigned to support practice operations. Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or high-volume customer service environment required. Previous front desk, patient registration, or medical receptionist experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Experience with Epic EHR preferred but not required. Working knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office operations. Understanding of health insurance plans, referrals, and patient registration processes preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Professional appearance, positive attitude, and commitment to exceptional patient service. Technical Skills Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, preferably Epic. Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams. Insurance carrier portals and online verification systems.
