Ou, MD, focused on helping patients with complex chronic illnesses that are often poorly understood or inadequately addressed within conventional medicine, including Chronic Lyme Disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Long COVID, mold-related illness, and related conditions. This is not a conventional medical office. Dr. Ou combines Internal Medicine with integrative and energetic approaches including herbal medicine, homeopathy, frequency-based therapies, advanced muscle testing, and other individualized methods aimed at identifying what is keeping the body from healing itself and clearing those blocks. In addition to physical and biochemical factors, the practice also recognizes the potential role of emotional, neurological, environmental, energetic, and mind-body influences on chronic illness. Many patients come to the practice after years of frustration, failed treatments, or feeling dismissed elsewhere. Our goal is not only to help them physically, but also to provide an environment where they feel heard, respected, and supported. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, grounded, dependable, emotionally mature, highly trustworthy, comfortable taking personal responsibility in a small, highly individualized practice environment and genuinely interested in holistic and integrative healthcare. An interest in topics such as mind-body medicine, holistic wellness, subtle energy, intuition, consciousness, or spiritual aspects of healing is welcomed. You do not need prior experience with these therapies, but you do need curiosity, humility, adaptability, and an open mind. About Our Patients Most of our patients are thoughtful, health-conscious, independent-minded people who have explored alternatives beyond conventional medicine. Many value health autonomy, individualized care, and a willingness to question one-size-fits-all approaches. As a result, the vast majority of them are unjabbed (COVID). The right candidate will feel comfortable in this kind of environment and be able to interact with patients respectfully and without judgment, even when perspectives differ from mainstream healthcare culture. An interest in topics such as mind-body medicine, holistic wellness, subtle energy, intuition, consciousness, or spiritual aspects of healing is welcomed. This position is ideal for someone who: Is naturally curious and enjoys learning Believes healing is more than symptom management Values kindness, presence, and listening Is comfortable around nontraditional healthcare ideas Wants meaningful long term work rather than just a job Responsibilities Welcome patients warmly and help create a calm, supportive environment Build rapport and develop trusting relationships with patients Act as a liaison between patients and Dr. Ou Schedule appointments and manage phone/email communication Update patient records and maintain organization within the EHR Escort patients to treatment rooms and obtain vital signs Assist Dr. Ou during appointments, including muscle testing procedures: See demo at https://youtu.be/L_sVBLNyMng?si=oq92xaWuMarBfQbx&t=2943 or read Dr. Ou's chapter in "Energetic Diagnosis" by Neil Nathan, MD.
