Overview The Patient Care Operations Director of Critical Care and Emergency Department has primary responsibility for daily operations of designated clinical departments. The Operations Director provides leadership to the assigned department directors and managers who are responsible for supervising and assuring patient safety and delivery of high quality care. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Assists in the developing and managing the nursing services budget and ensuring sufficient number of qualified staff to assess patient needs Ensures that continuous performance improvement initiatives are designed to measure and improve the quality of care delivered and are consistent with the organization priorities Works collaboratively with other patient care and support departments, fostering a climate of open communication and mutualproblem solvingactivities Initiates andparticipatesin joint performance improvement activities Assists in managing costs by continually seeking data that willidentifyopportunities and take action to eliminate non-value costs Activelyparticipateswith others in planning activities associated with design or implementation of renovation or new construction of patient care areas Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
Master's degree in Nursing or BS degree in Nursing or related healthcare field and a minimum of five (5) years nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. RN licensed in Georgia
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
