Insurance & Billing Location:
Grinville Dental Clinic 1424 N Expressway, Unit 135 Griffin, GA 30223 Position Summary Grinville Dental Clinic is seeking a motivated, organized, and patient-focused Patient Experience Coordinator - Insurance & Billing to join our growing team. This role offers a unique blend of front office responsibilities and insurance and billing coordination, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both patient interaction and behind-the-scenes administrative work. The ideal candidate is friendly, proactive, highly organized, and committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting the operational success of a growing dental practice. Essential Responsibilities Patient Experience Welcome patients in a warm, professional, and friendly manner. Check patients in and out efficiently while ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, appointment changes, and general questions. Schedule appointments to maximize provider productivity and patient convenience. Collect copayments, outstanding balances, and required patient forms. Maintain accurate patient records and demographic information. Provide an exceptional customer service experience during every patient interaction. Insurance & Billing Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits before patient appointments. Complete accurate insurance benefit breakdowns. Obtain and track insurance pre-authorizations when required. Submit, monitor, and follow up on insurance claims. Resolve outstanding insurance claims and assist with insurance aging. Explain insurance benefits and estimated patient responsibility to patients. Process patient payments and assist with billing questions. Maintain accurate financial records related to patient accounts. Administrative Responsibilities Ensure insurance verification is completed prior to scheduled appointments. Assist with administrative projects and daily office operations. Work collaboratively with providers and team members to improve workflow and efficiency. Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Support practice initiatives and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of dental front office, dental insurance, or dental billing experience is required. Experience using Open Dental practice management software is preferred. Strong knowledge of dental insurance verification, benefit breakdowns, claims submission, insurance follow-up, and patient billing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding customer service skills with a professional and compassionate demeanor. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to working as part of a team.
