Job Description
The Patient Service Representative is responsible for performing administrative duties that support the efficient operation of the Dental clinic. Primary responsibilities include answering phone calls, responding to text messages, scheduling appointments, and collecting copayments. This role coordinates patient scheduling and ensures clear, professional communication throughout every stage of the patient experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Welcome patients in a friendly, professional manner; greeting them promptly and engaging in conversation. Scheduling and confirming appointments. Answering phone calls, voicemails, and responding to text messages in a professional and timely manner. Knowledgeable in insurance verification via dental insurance online portals. Address patient inquiries and concerns in support of a positive patient experience. Receive payment and record receipts for services. Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth front desk operations and effective communication.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Dental Services.JOB QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.Preferred:
Front office experience in a dental office setting. Familiarity with basic dental terminology. Experience with Dental EMR software.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent sitting at a desk and repetitive use of hands for computer work. Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Repetitive use of hands and fine motor skills for dental procedures and equipment.DISCLAIMER
