Coordinator of Veteran Services St. Ambrose University - 4.3 Davenport, IA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Coordinator of Veteran Services St. Ambrose University is seeking a Coordinator of Veteran Services to lead veteran recruitment, oversee educational benefits certification, and provide support services for military-connected students and their families. This full-time professional role works across multiple departments-including Admissions, Registrar, Advising, and Student Support-to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for our veteran community.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet with veterans through schools, agencies, and community events. Serve as the University's Primary School Certifying Official for VA benefits. Assist with admissions, advising, and retention of veteran students. Manage compliance with federal, state, and military education programs. Coordinate and host veteran-focused events and recognition ceremonies. Maintain partnerships with local, state, and national veteran organizations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; experience with veterans' benefits and/or higher education preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Veteran or military family background a plus.
